I took this video yesterday while visiting the beach with my mom and dad. After the romp in the water we sat down on the wall and we devoured a Bianchi’s pizza…and Emma seemed to particularly enjoy herself. She sat back in her umbrella stroller and chomped on some pizza before we put her up on the wall and she ran back in forth a few times. She definitely had a blast.
Bianchi’s pizza rules. Just ask Emma.
Once again, click on the picture for the video and don’t be surprised if you have to wait a bit for the video to download (11 MB).

A short video of Emma in our slop sink getting sand washed off her. Thanks to Craig for reminding my forgetful head that we have a video recorder built into our camera.
Click on the picture to play the video. It’s 10 MB so it may take a minute or two to download.

Wow. It’s been a long time since we’ve updated our blog. Emma has come a long way since the early days and we’re really enjoying the ride of our own growth that comes along with being parents of such a wonderful little being. She truly is grand and we continually mention to each other how fortunate we are. I could go on and on about the things we’ve learned and the things we’ve been blessed with but words will only muddy up the pictures below so I’ll let you enjoy instead.
Thanks to Kasia for giving me just the kick I needed to create this post. Thanks Kasia! Wendy thanks you too! And someday Emma will see this and thank you! How cool is that???
I’ve always loved this one:

Here is one where she took my hat off the table and plopped it on her head while Wendy happened to have the camera nearby:

Here she is experiencing her first taste of snow:

And here she is looking a bit coy:

Our kitchen cabinets are almost all installed! I tried putting Emma in one of the drawers today of a freshly installed cabinet…and it turned out to be a great picture (yup, I’m a little biased, but, well, you know…look at how freakin’ cute she is!). As soon as I turn my back to a cabinet after installing it Wendy is right behind me loading it up with stuff.
The last shot is one of her playing in her favorite toy, a gift of my aunt and cousin, Joan and Susan. Thanks for that, ladies–Emma really, really loves it.

Life is good.

Our friend Chris visited a couple of weeks ago and brought her baby, Kate, over to meet us. Kate and Chris spent the day with Emma and Wendy and I think they had a lot of fun. Kate was born about a month earlier than Emma and this was our first time meeting her.
A good time was had by all.

Here is a shot from our downstairs hallway. Emma has a hat on that our good friend Robyn made for her. It’s such a beautiful collection of colors and it is so soft. As I work in my office I often get to see Wendy carrying Emma up the driveway from going out to get the mail and it always brings a big smile to my face. The usual scenario is that I run into the hallway and say something like, “Good Lord is that hat cute on her. Robyn knitted a winner!”
Robyn was also so, so helpful in the beginning with Emma. From breastfeeding to being someone to lean on in the early times of stress, she’s a star in our eyes.

Everyone loves pictures, and in today’s digital age there are many exciting things you can do. However, most everyone I know that isn’t involved with a computer on a day to day basis doesn’t really know how to manipulate their pictures on a computer. Also, there are a few tricks when sending pictures via email or uploading pictures to specific places on the Internet. Whether emailing pictures , uploading pictures to a web site, or dealing with pictures in some other digital way, I’ve written this tutorial to help you out.
